Warm Air
Specialists in Johnson & Starley warm air heating — service, repair and upgrades.

At Plumbusters we understand that many property owners are looking for highly-efficient ways to heat their home and provide hot water. Alongside our traditional boiler services and systems we also offer services for warm air heating. We’re proud to be recommended by Johnson & Starley, a leading manufacturer of warm air heating systems.
Warm air heating benefits
Condensing warm air heaters offer many energy-saving features whilst also being able to provide traditional heating services such as radiators and domestic hot water. We offer a range of options for maintaining and servicing an existing warm air heater, upgrades that incorporate up-flow and down-flow heaters — and our warm air systems can provide cool air too, perfect for hotter days!
- Johnson & Starley have been making warm air heating systems since 1922 — proper heritage in the UK market
- Rapid heat-up times mean the house warms up quickly — no waiting around on a chilly morning
- No bulky radiators means more flexible room layouts and easier furniture placement
- Low maintenance once installed properly — many older J&S units are still going strong after 50+ years
- Units can reach up to 98% thermal efficiency, which is brilliant for cutting gas bills
- The Aquair Heat Interface Unit (HIU) keeps existing warm air ducting but connects to modern heat sources like combi boilers, ASHPs and electric boilers
- Aquair is super versatile and future-proofs the system — especially handy for going greener without ripping out all the ducts
- Save over 28% on fuel compared to older non-condensing models
We primarily maintain and install Johnson & Starley warm air unit heating systems, but if you use an alternative warm air system and need some assistance please do feel free to contact us!

What our clients think
Our Testimonials
We love our clients and they love our work. Our team is very experienced in both residential and commercial projects.
I have used Plumbusters for years for servicing my boiler and some great small jobs. This time it was a new boiler moved up two flights of stairs. All work was neat and tidy, with some fantastic pipe work, like a work of art. Considering the effort to take up carpet and floorboards, there are no corners cut and the best job done, not the quickest job just to move on to the next customer. Even the outside plastering of the old outlet pipe was made to look like bricks! At the end there was a full walk through to make sure everything was working and 2 follow up checks. Great job.

Having only just moved into a new home, we were reliant upon recommendation by the previous owners. Plumbusters have been remarkably responsive and did an amazing job that turned out to be far more than first anticipated. We now have a swanky streamline vertical radiator in our family room along with two extra radiators on two upstairs bedrooms. Faultlessly clean, Grant gets our vote today. Thanks to you all. Now have you down as our preferred company for all things plumbing related. Best wishes. Mike & Joanne
