Gas safety certificates for Medway landlords
If you let out a property with gas appliances, the law says every appliance and flue must have a gas safety check each year, done by a Gas Safe registered engineer. You have to give the tenant a copy of the record within 28 days of the check and keep your copy for at least two years.
We do the check and the boiler service in one visit, and we email the certificate over. Landlords with several properties in Medway can put them all on a service contract, and there are discounts for more than one property.
Back boilers and older terraces
Back boilers, fitted behind a gas fire in the living room, were common in Medway terraces and a few are still going. Parts for many of them are hard to find now. Replacing one usually means moving the boiler to the kitchen or another outside wall, fitting a new flue and making the old fireplace safe.
For a terrace with one bathroom, a combi is usually the right replacement. We survey first and give you a fixed written quote, and we flush the old system before the new boiler goes on.

I have used Plumbusters for years for servicing my boiler and some great small jobs. This time it was a new boiler moved up two flights of stairs. All work was neat and tidy, with some fantastic pipe work, like a work of art. Considering the effort to take up carpet and floorboards, there are no corners cut and the best job done, not the quickest job just to move on to the next customer. Even the outside plastering of the old outlet pipe was made to look like bricks! At the end there was a full walk through to make sure everything was working and 2 follow up checks. Great job.
