Warm air servicing in Essex
An annual warm air service covers the burner, the heat exchanger, the fan, the flue, the safety cut-outs and the return air filter. A blocked filter is behind a lot of the overheat shutdowns we get called out to, and you can clean it yourself between services. The manual shows where it is.
We also offer service contracts for warm air units, with the annual service and up to three priority call-outs a year.
Replacing an old warm air unit
Some parts for older Johnson & Starley units are no longer made. When a part can’t be got, the choice is a new WarmCair on the existing ducting, an Aquair unit that runs the ducting from a boiler or heat pump, or converting the house to radiators. We survey and give a fixed written quote for whichever suits.

I have used Plumbusters for years for servicing my boiler and some great small jobs. This time it was a new boiler moved up two flights of stairs. All work was neat and tidy, with some fantastic pipe work, like a work of art. Considering the effort to take up carpet and floorboards, there are no corners cut and the best job done, not the quickest job just to move on to the next customer.
