Plumbusters is a family firm, and our engineers are OFTEC registered for commissioning, servicing and repairing oil-fired boilers. We service oil boilers across Kent, London, Essex, East Sussex, Surrey and Berkshire. Ring 01622 474008 or use the form on this page and we’ll give you a price over the phone.
An oil boiler that isn’t serviced usually keeps running, but the nozzle wears and the filter clogs until the boiler locks out, leaving you without heating and hot water. A worn nozzle, a blocked filter and a dirty photocell are the most common causes of lockouts, and all three are dealt with on a service.
Areas we cover for this work: Kent · London · Essex · East Sussex · Surrey · Berkshire · Tonbridge & Sevenoaks · Medway
What an oil boiler service includes
Our oil boiler service includes stripping down and cleaning the boiler and setting up the burner, and you get a written record of the readings.
- Combustion analysis with a calibrated analyser, and the burner set to the manufacturer’s figures
- New fuel filter every time, and a new nozzle when needed
- Baffles and heat exchanger cleaned
- Photocell, electrodes and pump pressure checked and adjusted
- Tank, bund, fuel line and fire valve inspected for splits, corrosion, weeping joints and faults
- Controls, thermostat and timer checked

Our Testimonials
Reviews from homeowners, landlords and businesses we’ve worked for.
I have used Plumbusters for years for servicing my boiler and some great small jobs. This time it was a new boiler moved up two flights of stairs. All work was neat and tidy, with some fantastic pipe work, like a work of art. Considering the effort to take up carpet and floorboards, there are no corners cut and the best job done, not the quickest job just to move on to the next customer. Even the outside plastering of the old outlet pipe was made to look like bricks! At the end there was a full walk through to make sure everything was working and 2 follow up checks. Great job.

Having only just moved into a new home, we were reliant upon recommendation by the previous owners. Plumbusters have been remarkably responsive and did an amazing job that turned out to be far more than first anticipated. We now have a swanky streamline vertical radiator in our family room along with two extra radiators on two upstairs bedrooms. Faultlessly clean, Grant gets our vote today. Thanks to you all. Now have you down as our preferred company for all things plumbing related. Best wishes. Mike & Joanne
