Boiler Servicing & Repairs in Kent & London

Here’s what our boiler service involves. The casing comes off, and the burner and heat exchanger are inspected along with the ignition, seals and condensate trap. The flue is tested and a flue gas analysis run to check the boiler is burning cleanly and efficiently. The gas and system pressures and the expansion vessel are checked, the magnetic filter is cleaned where one is fitted, and you get a written record at the end. It takes the best part of an hour.

For repairs, our engineers find the fault before they change any parts. Loss of pressure, lockouts, no hot water, cold radiators and a boiler that bangs like a kettle can each have several different causes. We tell you what we’ve found and give you a price before any repair is done.

Boiler servicing & repair work we cover

A boiler that’s serviced every year tends to need fewer repairs, and a service often picks up a problem before it turns into a breakdown. We do both:

• Annual boiler services with a flue gas analysis, as described above
• Breakdown repairs: no heating, no hot water, boilers cutting out or not firing
• Loss of pressure: we pressure test the system to find the leak
• Lockouts and error codes on all major makes, including Worcester Bosch, Vaillant, Ideal, Baxi and Glow-worm
• Kettling, banging and rumbling, usually caused by scale or sludge on the heat exchanger
• Faulty diverter valves, pumps, ignition and circuit boards
• Radiators cold at the top, cold at the bottom, or not heating at all
• Landlord servicing with the Gas Safety Certificate (CP12) done at the same visit
• Magnetic filter cleaning and inhibitor top-ups
• 24/7 emergency call-outs for breakdowns
• Repair or replace advice in writing when a boiler is near the end of its life
